“Those dresses are soo [sic] short nowadays! 😳,” one person exclaimed. Another was even more blunt, writing, “Dresses are inappropriate. Way inappropriate.” A third voice chimed in, “Aren’t these kids in high school?? They’re dressed like they’re in their late 20’s.”

But not everyone was outraged. Others took a lighter tone. One fan playfully observed the girls’ striking resemblance to their parents, “I love how one of your daughters looks just like you, the other one looks like Rebecca. (I assume the one who resembles you is the chaotic one? LOL) [sic].”

A Year of Milestones for the Family

The homecoming snapshot comes nearly a year after O’Connell celebrated another milestone — the twins’ birthday in December 2024. In that post, he shared a carousel of photos capturing both past and present moments.

One photo showed the teens cuddled up together. One of them was in a cream waffle-knit sweater, and the other in a light blue hoodie, radiating a sense of closeness and calm.

O’Connell and Romijn, who tied the knot in 2007, welcomed their daughters on December 28. At the time, Romijn’s publicist, Lewis Kay, said the couple and their newborn daughters were healthy and settling in at home. Since then, the couple has been notably open about their hands-on parenting style and how they manage work-life balance.

She further explained that their contribution depends on “who’s working more. The one who’s not working gets a little bit of a break, and the one who is working puts in a little more.”

Romijn also opened up about a parenting decision made early on:

“We also decided when our girls were born that one of us would always stay home with our daughters. So, no one else is ever going to raise them besides the parents.”

For many, O’Connell’s heartfelt post felt like a full-circle moment — a rare glimpse of how much Dolly and Charlie have grown and a reminder that the family remains as close-knit as ever.
