Fresh photos of President Donald Trump enjoying a quiet family moment in Scotland sparked buzz online, and not just because of the sweet family content.

Despite some netizens’ scepticism, others loved that he spent time with his grandkids.

With dramatic clouds overhead and the ocean stretching out behind them, the image captured a surprisingly soft, down-to-earth moment.

The viral post came during a packed five-day visit to Scotland. According to CBS News, Donald wrapped up the ceremonial opening of a brand-new Trump-branded golf course in Balmedie, on Scotland’s northern coast.

Standing alongside his sons, Eric and Donald Jr., the president cut a red ribbon and praised the development, calling it “unbelievable” and a “labor of love” for Eric, who led the project.

The trip gave the president a break from the summer heat in Washington, offering him the chance to spotlight his family’s luxury golf properties while he held a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

The two met at Turnberry, where Trump reflected on his roots. “My mother loved Scotland,” he said, referring to his late mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, who was born on the Isle of Lewis. “It’s different when your mother was born here.”

Although the visit included a framework discussion for a U.S.–EU trade deal, the schedule centered mostly around the golf course, which will officially offer rounds to the public on August 13.

As always, Donald made headlines, but in the end, it was the quiet photos with Spencer and Chloe that left the strongest impression, offering a rare moment of the president simply being a grandfather, smiling, relaxed, and enjoying the Scottish coast with his family.
